Connecting the Dots

Gutless Connecting the Dots

You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. Believing that the dots will connect down the road will give you the confidence to follow your heart even when it leads you off the well worn path, and that will make all the difference.” – Steve Jobs

In retrospect connecting the dots from my past to the creation of Gutless Topical Supplements makes total sense. It is a trail of experiences that ignited both a desire and a desperate need for something better.

When I was born, a revolution of sorts was happening–a counterculture, a bucking of status quo. The 1970’s were the origin of free thinking. I had severe childhood asthma … I mean serious in-the-hospital-once-a-month asthma. The medical protocol back then was epinephrine (pure adrenaline) and a sedative for sleep.

My mother knew there had to be a better way. She happened upon an article in Prevention Magazine (pretty new and “out there” at the time) about vitamin therapy. The author was a popular pediatrician who was a frequent guest on “The Tonight Show.” She found the doctor’s home phone number and called him. To his credit he not only answered: he talked to her and gave her a list of vitamins to try. She was super excited and took the list to my pediatrician. He told her “this is ludicrous and if you do this she will die.” He didn’t understand the moxie of my mother (or that the epinephrine made it so hard to deal with me, that death wasn’t a big enough threat enough to not try).

So it began. The vitamin therapy took some time to work, but when it did, I began to have longer windows between attacks. She didn’t know at the time that asthma is an autoimmune disease and boosting my body with vitamins was healing me. When I was 12, I went into total remission and haven’t had an asthma attack since. Our belief in something better was born.

So impassioned by this movement, I went on to get degrees in Nutrigenetics and Nutrition and Holistic Health and I’ve worked with patients developing strategies toward their “something better.” So, when my own son began to show autoimmune problems, I was uniquely positioned to take action.

At 21, my son developed Crohn’s Disease, a debilitating intestinal disease that kept him from living in the high energy way he loved. The medical protocol for Crohn’s is immunosuppressants. Hell no. We dove into alternative methods for healing. A radical diet change gave him massive relief and he began to recover, however, I noticed that there were other smaller side effects from the Crohn’s. Things I wouldn’t have noticed except for the spotlight on his health. His skin was dry in patches, his hair was thin, the whites of his eyes had a yellow hue, his nails had white patches … small pieces of evidence that he wasn’t absorbing vitamins properly.

The revelation hit me like a brick. Of course he isn’t absorbing vitamins! His gut was inflamed and in protection mode. How can we fix this? Is there a better way?

That’s how Gutless Topical Supplements were born. After 4 years of research and development, (and many failures) I created a way for him to get what he needed while bypassing his sensitive gut. Topically.

But….my son isn’t the only person with autoimmune issues. In fact it is estimated that 15% to 25% of Americans (83,100,913 people!!) suffer from some kind of autoimmune problem and that number is rising at alarming rates. While the causes for this epidemic are complex and still being researched, Gutless Topical Supplements allow for a better way to absorb vitamins.

Gutless Topical Supplements work by using a catalyst to assist vitamins into the epidermis’ blood vessels, allowing absorption into the bloodstream. They are specifically formulated with harmonizing herbs and minerals that enhance each vitamin’s superpower.

Because being healthy shouldn’t take guts … Gutless Topical Supplements are a better way.
